After tragedy strikes, Annie moves in to the summer cottage where her family vacationed when she was a child. Soon Annie finds herself making new friends, even developing a romance with a quiet and mysterious painter. And as she becomes part of the community, Annie learns that the surest way to heal is by making a difference in the lives of those around her.
My thoughts: Debbie Macomber is absolutely one of my favorite authors and this book certainly did not disappoint me! The characters are so real and well defined. Come follow Anne as she faces total tragedy and loss, and travels back to her childhood happy place where she heals and finds friendship and love! This journey is full of ups and downs which includes a man of few words, pets in need, and friends facing many life challenges. If you enjoy women’s lit, I think you will really enjoy this story! Happy Reading everyone!
